The NECTO-Quick spring loaded connection system adapts to all types of rigid, semirigid or flexible conductors, even unprepared. The system covers a wide range of conductor sizes, from 0.75 to 2.5 mm2 and from 1 to 6 mm2.
Not everybody knows how to use conventional
screw terminals properly. Workers have to be
experienced and need to know exactly how
tight to do up the terminal screws. In certain
cases they even need to use special torque
screwdrivers. The Necto-Quick system on the
other hand lets even inexperienced personnel
achieve perfect connections every time, simply
by opening the spring with the tip of a normal
screwdriver and pushing the conductor into
the hole. As soon as the spring is released,
the cable is locked securely in place. Thanks
to Necto-Quick you no longer need to be a
specialist to achieve perfect connections. The
system is completely self-locking and eliminates
all risk of operator error.
The new Necto-Quick system is state of
the art in terms of connection grip and security
too. Unlike conventional screw based
systems, the tightening force of the spring
on the conductor is proportional to the size
of the cable inserted in the terminal, and
adapts constantly to thermal expansion and
mechanical stress without damaging the conductor.
The elasticity of the system means
that the connection never becomes loose,
thus eliminating the risk of bad contacts.

In addition to providing easy, screwless onnections,
the Necto-Quick system has also
permitted innovative terminal blocks to be designed with reduced dimensions. These
new terminal blocks are easier to assemble
and connect than ever before.
Other important innovations concern the
mechanical configuration of the snap-shut
connector shell. This contains an integrated
device for clamping electrical cables in place,
again without the use of screws.
On the appliance side, the connection conforms
to RAST 5 standards, enabling the
various conductors to be grouped together in
the one connector.
The result is a device that is able to withstand
higher electric loads. Also, because it is
made from a smaller number of component
parts than conventional terminal blocks, it is
cheaper as well as being more reliable. Most
important of all, NECTO-Quick terminal
blocks are easier to manage in a workshop
environment, on a production line, or in any
other context.
1) Insert the screwdriver between the
spring and the body.
2) Turn the screwdriver to open the
spring.
3) Insert the conductor and release the
screwdriver.
SIMPLICITY
These new terminal blocks enable all
operators to make connections more quickly
and more safely than with conventional
systems. Power screwdrivers are no longer
required, so there is no need to manually
check tightening torque either. The terminal
block’s own spring mechanism automatically
adapts tightening force to suit the size of the
conductor.

CONNECTION SECURITY
In conventional screw type terminal blocks,
the tightening force on the conductor is
directly proportional to the pressure on the
contact. High tightening torques may be
required to apply sufficient pressure to large
contact plates and to overcome friction in
the screw threads. In NECTO-Quick spring
loaded contacts, on the other hand, there
is no friction and the contact plates are far
smaller in size, greatly increasing specific
pressure on the conductor.
